John Grootjen Wooden Floors values your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and we handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes other than those mentioned below.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the related services of John Grootjen Houten Floors.
The effective date for the validity of these conditions is 01/01/2020, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires.
This privacy policy describes which data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.

Personal data that we process
John Grootjen Houten Floors processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself.

We do not process special and/or sensitive personal data.
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years old. Unless they have parental or guardian permission. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us at johngrootjen.houtenvloeren@gmail.com and we will delete this information.
Automated decision making
John Grootjen Houten Flooren does not make decisions about matters that can have (significant) consequences for people on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without human intervention.
PURPOSE OF THE DATA PROCESSING
General purpose of the processing
We only use your data for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing other than as stated in this privacy policy. If you share information with us and we use this information to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we will ask you for explicit permission for this. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative or legal obligations.
These third parties are all kept confidential by virtue of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.
John Grootjen Wooden Floors collects and processes your data for the following purposes:
– Handling your or our payments
– Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure
– To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary to be able to carry out our services
– To inform you about changes to our services and products
– To deliver goods and services to you
– John Grootjen Houten Floors analyzes your behavior on the website in order to improve the website and to tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.
– John Grootjen Houten Floors also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data that we need for our tax return.
Retention period of personal data
John Grootjen Wooden Floors stores your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means that we keep your data until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. On the basis of applicable legal obligations, we must, among other things, keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable term runs. John Grootjen Houten Floors does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data is collected.
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (for example your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.
SHARING PERSONAL DATA
John Grootjen Wooden Floors does not sell your data to third parties. We conclude a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. John Grootjen Wooden Floors remains responsible for these processing operations.
YOUR RIGHTS
On the basis of the applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data that are processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights.
Right of access
You always have the right to inspect the data that we process or have processed and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data with an overview of the processors who have this data at the e-mail address known to us, stating the category under which we have stored this data.
Right to correction or deletion
You always have the right to have the data that we process or have processed and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you adjusted. You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself via the link that we send with our email news items. You can also submit a request to us via our privacy contact person (see the bottom of this document).
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to limit the data that we process or have processed that relate to your person or that can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to portability and/or right to object
If you would like to exercise your right to object and/or right to data portability, or if you have other questions/comments about data processing, please send a specified request to our privacy contact person.
To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy.
John Grootjen Wooden Floors will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within 30 days.
John Grootjen Houten Flooren would also like to point out that you have the option at any time to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority, if you suspect that we are using your personal data in the wrong way. John Grootjen Wooden Floors takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy policy has consequences for the way in which we process already collected data relating to you, we will inform you by e-mail.
